Beatrice Roberts

Funeral services will be held for Beatrice Roberts, 78, of Ville Platte, at Ninth Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Friday, June 26. Burial will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts died Sunday, June 21, 2015, at Opelousas General Health System.
Survivors include her husband, Ervin Roberts of Ville Platte; one daughter, Patricia (Freddie) Chapman of Ville Platte; four sons, Alvin R. Roberts of Houston, Texas, Rennis Roberts of Houma, Melvin (Linda) Roberts of Lafayette and Dennis (Beatrice) Roberts of Monroe; six sisters, Annie Joy Jack of Eunice and Lou Edna Anderson, Lee Ella Griffin, Youla Mae Arvie, Louise Doucet and Sandra Lavigne, all of Ville Platte; two brothers, Rogers Anderson and Rodney Anderson, both of Ville Platte; 24 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rev. Kieran Coleman will officiate.
Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Ville Platte will be in charge of arrangements.
