Funeral services will be held for Lydia White, 81, of Ville Platte, at Ninth Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 23, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ms. White died Thursday, October 16, 2014, at her residence.
Survivors include her children, Penny D. White of Houston, Texas, and Don (Mildred) White of Ville Platte; one sister, Alice Chapman of Ville Platte; one brother, Ervin Roberts of Ville Platte; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pastor Kieran Coleman will officiate.
Owens-Thomas Funeral Home of Ville Platte will be in charge of arrangements.
