BB, Cecilia girls each beat CHNI

The Catholic High-New Iberia Lady Panthers provided easy victories for both Breaux Bridge and Cecilia in the only games won by parish girls basketball teams last week.

Breaux Bridge topped CHNI 57-15 on Tuesday and Cecilia rolled to a 61-32 win over the Lady Panthers on Friday.

In other action BB’s Lady Tigers lost a district game to Abbeville on Friday while Cecilia lost a close battle with North Vermilion in District 6-3A action on Tuesday. St. Martinville lost to Northside but results of The ’Ville’s game against Beau Chene were not available.

Breaux Bridge stands at 9-17, 1-5 for the season while Cecilia sports a 6-11, 1-1 worksheet.

In action this coming Friday St. Martinville travels to Vermilion Catholic while Breaux Bridge visits Teurlings Catholic and Cecilia is on the road against Erath. Next Tuesday, Jan. 22, will see The ’Ville at Abbeville while Breaux Bridge hosts Northside and Cecilia is at home against Rayne’s Lady Wolves.
