Bearcats look to finish road streak over Tarps

Basile has managed to do what no Basile team has done since 1995 and they don’t look satisfied at all. They have also done one thing that most teams only dream about. They went on the road and won three straight games. Now they are set to win a fourth and final road game when they meet South Cameron tomorrow night.

The Tarps are 1-5 on the year and 0-1 in league play. They fell to Oberlin last week 46-0. The Tarpons’ only win came against East Beauregard in week one. It was a 20-12 win. That was the second highest score they achieved all year. SC did fight a tough game against Gueydan but fell short 38-28. They also took it on the chin in a close 26-21 loss to East Iberville.

Jason Theriot runs the offense for SC. The senior QB and the Tarps struggled last week. They only managed 51 yards of total offense.

Basile took an impressive win over Hamilton Christian last week. They seem to be getting better and better each week. Running backs Kendrick Caesar and Jason Hardy continue to punish teams over and over with their running styles. While Hardy bruises defenders and Caesar scores the points, Basile has moved to a 6-0 record on the year.

Basile should not have a tough time against SC tomorrow night despite being on the road.
