LSU, ULL, McNeese earn bids to NCAA Softball Tournament

Three of Louisiana’s best softball programs have all punched their ticket to the NCAA National Softball Tournament beginning this weekend.
LSU, the number 10 national seed, will host a regional tournament starting tomorrow, when they face off against LIU Brooklyn in a 6 p.m. contest.
McNeese State earned their way into the tournament after winning the Southland Conference Tournament and will play in the same regional as LSU. The Cowgirls will face Arizona St. in their first regional game tomorrow at 3 p.m.
Perennial tournament participants, ULL, will also host a regional after earning the number 14 national seed. The Lady Cajuns will face off against Boston University tomorrow at 7 p.m.
The other two teams in the ULL regional are Texas A&M and Texas. They will square off at 4:30 p.m.
