Heritage Manor News: April events noted

April 1, begins with April Fool’s Day. The origin of this is not known, but it was first celebrated during the 16th century. It was first observed in England and tricks were played only in the morning. Other events of April include Income Tax Day on April 15, National Volunteer Week, Earth Day and Jewish Passover.
We congratulate our April Resident of the Month Donald Bourque and Employee of the Month Katina Watson (LPN).
Activities this week include bingo sponsored by the VVA, group exercise, manicures, Come Lord Jesus group, jingo for prizes, resident council meeting, in-room visits, music by T-Rob Soileau, parachute lift, mass and arts and crafts.
The staff of Heritage Manor wishes a Happy Birthday this week to Barbara Ardoin, Willie Mae Edwards, Elise Vidrine and Lucille Frank.

Congratulations to the Easter basket raffle winner Todd Thompson.
The resident birthday party for April will be held on Wednesday, April 13, at 2 p.m. in the activity room.
The annual picnic/cookout at Chicot State Park is scheduled for April 22. Everyone is looking forward to this event.
The annual volunteer appreciation supper will be held Thursday, April 14. This supper is for active volunteers only. We ask that you call ahead for seating purposes. Door prizes will be given and an award for Volunteer of the Year will be presented. For more information, call or stop by the activity department.
