Minister’s Corner: Living examples

God has chosen to use men to reach men. He has chosen to use believers to reach non-believers. That is His purpose for our lives. He wants to use us to help build the kingdom, but we must be willing to participate. It means that we place God and His purpose for our lives as priority. God is calling us to look beyond ourselves to others and to minister to them in His name.
We serve a jealous God who demands to be first in every aspect of our lives, especially when it comes to our service for Him. If God asked you, “What have you done for me lately?” What would be your response? When was the last time that you witnessed to someone? When was the last time that you asked someone to church? When was the last time that you reached out to someone in need other than a family member?
As Christians we are to have the heart and mind of Christ. Paul tells us in Philippians 2:5 KJV, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus...” Christ loves the lost. He came to minister to the needs of all that they might come to know Him. He served humanity. He calls us to do the same in word and action. We are His disciples. We are His followers. We are to be living examples of what He was and what He taught us.
