Minister’s Corner: Pleasing God

Mark 12:30 states, “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul and with all thy mind and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” How do we fulfill this commandment? Simply stated, we love God with our strength when we do good works. We love God with our mind when we seek to know Him. We love God with our soul when we yield ourselves to Him and allow Him to fill our souls with His power. We love God with our hearts when we joyfully express our gratitude to him for all he has done.
This is what pleasing God is about in a nut shell - that we love Him, even to the extent that it makes a difference in the way we act, in the way we think and in the way we live.
