Sheriff's office reports 20 recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported 20 recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Anthony Marks, 50, 803 East St., Opelousas, was charged February 11, with aggravated second degree battery. Marks remained in jail on a $25,000 bond at press time.
•Layton Michael Ashurst, 25, 420 Wyble Road, Ville Platte, was charged February 8, with theft over $500. Ashurst was released from jail on a $2,500 bond.
•Kaleb Chanse Guidry, 19, 4104 Chataignier Road, Ville Platte, was charged February 8, with theft over $500. Guidry was released from jail on a $2,500 bond.
•Jordan S. Fontenot, 18, 4104 Chataignier Road, Ville Platte, was charged February 8, with theft over $500. Fontenot was released from jail on a $2,500 bond.
•Charity Fontenot, 34, 7801 Veterans Memorial Highway, Ville Platte, was charged February 11, with unauthorized use of an access card. Fontenot was released from jail on a $7,500 bond.
•Nelson James Tezeno, 54, 922 Railroad St., Ville Platte, was charged February 12, with obscenity, criminal trespass, disturbing the peace, telephone harassment and simple criminal damage. Tezeno was being held in jail on a $17,000 bond at press time.
•Vallery Ann Thomassie, 30, 132 Carson St., Ville Platte, was charged February 14, with careless operation and driving under suspension. Thomassie was released from jail on a $683 bond.
•David Anthony Bellard, 29, 1100 J.F.K. Ave., Ville Platte, was charged February 14, with theft of a motor vehicle. Dietz was remained in jail on a $25,000 bond at press time.
•Georgette Sue Dietz, 36, 230 Veteria Dr., Eunice, was charged February 14, with theft less than $300. Dietz was released from jail on a $1,000 bond.
•Carlenaki Durell Arvie, 27, 502 Harvey LeBas Dr., Ville Platte, was charged February 16, with unauthorized use of a moveable. Arvie was being held in jail on a $2,500 bond at press time.
•Brandon Mack King, 31, 1602 Lake Cove Road, Ville Platte, was charged February 16, with domestic abuse battery. King was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
•Levelle Furguson Jr., 23, 121 E. Jackson St., Ville Platte, was charged February 16, with theft. Furguson was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Faymore Laticia Charles, 32, 1720 Kembo St., Ville Platte, was charged February 16, with criminal damage to property, disturbing the peace by intoxication and battery on an officer. Charles was released from jail on a $7,500 bond.
•Alonzo D. Jack, 23, 308 Railroad St., Mamou, was charged February 16, with DWI (first offense) and failure to stop at stop sign. Jack remained in jail on a $1,293 bond at press time.
•Brent Charles Lanthier, 31, 1698 Woodstone Road, Eunice, was charged February 15, with domestic abuse battery and aggravated assault. Lanthier was released from jail on a $7,500 bond.
•Christopher Clark, 38, 14301 Veterans Memorial Highway, Ville Platte, was charged February 15, with DWI (first offense) and careless operation. Clark was released from jail on a $1,343 bond.
•Larry Lewis, 49, 5974 Pine Point Road, Ville Platte, was charged February 14, with DWI (second offense), suspended drivers license and careless operation. Lewis was released from jail on a $2,433 bond.
•Dalton Derez Denton, 22, 1105 Alligator Lane, Ville Platte, was charged February 15, with theft. Denton was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Rogers Ben, 55, 1210 Highway 95, Mamou, was charged February 15, with DWI (second offense), improper lane use and open container. Ben was released from jail on a $1,775 bond.
•Wallace V. Lafleur, 28, 718 Harry Bordelon St., Apt. 183, Ville Platte, was charged February 14, with simple battery. Lafleur was being held in jail on a $15,000 bond at press time.
