Gazette Staff Report

Leland Hamm has been arrested in Oklahoma.
KOKI Fox 23 News in Oklahoma reported on Friday night that Hamm had been arrested in a parking lot of a Lowe’s in the town of Owasso, Oklahoma. Hamm is wanted in connection with the July 1 murder of a Shreveport man at home in Turkey Creek.
Fox 23 News stated that the Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force said they arrested Leland Hamm, the last of eight individuals wanted in connection with the murder.
U.S. marshals apparently informed the task force that Hamm may be in the area and after surveying multiple areas, officers located Hamm inside the Lowe’s. Authorities waited until Hamm was done shopping and arrested him once he came outside.
KLFY 10 in Lafayette reported that online records indicated that Hamm is being held without bond in the Tulsa County jail on a fugitive from justice warrant.
