VPPD makes drug arrest

The Ville Platte Police Department released a statement on Wednesday about a recent drug arrest.
In the statement, detectives and officers with the VPPD executed a search warrant for a residence on West Oak Street. Upon arrival and search of the residence Officers and Detectives located marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Arrested was Ronnie Griffin 30, of 419 West Oak Street, Ville Platte. Griffin was charged with possession with intent to distribute schedule II, possession with intent to distribute CDS, illegal use of CDS in the presence of a juvenile, violation of CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Griffin was booked into the Ville Platte City Jail and later transported to the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office jail on a $95,000.00 bond.
