Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2008, in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Bill Hudson officiating, for Fernest Prejean, Jr., 45 of Levitown, Penn., who died at 10:42 a.m. Sunday, August 17, 2008, in Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia, Penn.
Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery No. 2 in Rayne.
Visitation was observed from 5 p.m. Wednesday until time of service on Thursday.

Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery No. 2 in Rayne.

Visitation was observed from 5 p.m. Wednesday until time of service on Thursday.

Bubba, as he was best known, leaves to mourn his mother, Delores Veronie Prejean and Chuck Chaumont, Rayne; his sisters, Donna and her husband Jay Chance, Beaumont, Texas, and Dorothy Diane Prejean, Gene Nev.; two nephews, Chris Chance and fiancé Joy of Nederland, Texas, and Thomas Chance of Beaumont, Texas; former wife, Lois Prejean and beloved pet Shasta Bell, of Rayne; one daughter Tiffany Macaluso, Beaumont, Texas; seven aunts, Rose Bearb, Annie Soileaux and Gale Prejean, all of Rayne, Hilda Cormier, Vidor, Texas, Marie Touchet and Leah Cormier, both of Rayne, and Joyce Trahan, Crowley; and three uncles, Eugene Prejean and Edward Prejean, both of Rayne, and Erving Prejean, Duson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fernest (Blackie) Prejean, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Fannie Comeaux and Abbie Veronie, of Rayne; and his paternal grandparents, Ophie and Ezola Prejean, also of Rayne.

Pallbearers were Tee Boudreaux, Chris Chance, Joe Morgan, Raymond Trahan, Steve Menard, and Daniel Simoneaux.

Honorary pallbearers were Mark Chestnut, Jay Chance, Thomas Chance and Bernadette Abshire.

Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of funeral arrangements.
