DeBlanc, educator, World War II ace fighter pilot and Medal of Honor recipient, will be honored by St. Martin Parish Government and the parish’s Woodmen of the World lodges with a special and lasting tribute.

St. Martinville — The legacy of deceased World War II hero Jeff DeBlanc is soon to be shared with the public.
Before his death in November, DeBlanc agreed to donate his Medal of Honor and other memorabilia to the National World War II Museum in New Orleans.
St. Martinville – The Golden Keys Civic and Social Club will host the 19th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration on Sunday, Jan. 20.
Henderson – Upon the urging of Town Street Commissioner Don LeGrand, the council here authorized Mayor Sherbin Collette to use repair and maintenance funds to purchase limestone for Williams Drive, Devillier Street and Robin Street.
Parks – Mayor John Dugas informed the village council at its Jan. 10 meeting that the village was approved for a $10,000 Louisiana government assistance grant.
