St. Martin Parish Building Permits

The value of building permits issued by Parish Government for projects located in unincorporated areas of St. Martin Parish during the month of October 2007 totalled $7,033,955, including $2,407,705 for 11 commercial projects.

2007 the year of great beginnings

This was a year of broad and generally positive change for St. Martin Parish. It was a staging year, with a lot of major projects either nearing completion, begun or at least funded. Lots and lots of grant money came into the parish in 2007. Sales tax revenues soared.

It could have been worse

A potentially deadly tornado with winds well over 100 mph tore through St. Martin Parish near Breaux Bridge in the early morning of Feb. 13.
