Grant used to aid

Parks – Mayor John Dugas informed the village council at its Jan. 10 meeting that the village was approved for a $10,000 Louisiana government assistance grant.

Dugas said the council should consider putting this money alongside a Louisiana Community Development Block Grant worth $10,000 that the village received last year. The money will be used for ditch improvements and sidewalk augmentations.
