Demons and Tigers tangle to begin league play

Mamou (1-4) gets set to hit the road to face the DeQuincy Tigers (2-3) to begin 4-2A competition. The Tigers are coming off of a 13-27 loss to Oakdale, while Mamou is coming off of a heartbreaking loss to Class 1A power Montgomery.
The Demons have really struggled on offense. They have scored just one touchdown since week three and have been shutout in the last two games. Mamou will try and fix that right away tomorrow night. The team has been putting up good numbers, but have not been able to find the end zone. It’s no secret there will have to be some changes if Mamou is going to have any hopes of competing in a district with two ranked teams in Welsh and Kinder.
DeQuincy is a very tough place to play. The Tigers are not very consistent and struggled against South Cameron in an 18-10 win. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
