Trojans destroy Gators

It was homecoming at Sacred Heart High School Friday night and the Trojans were riding a three-game win streak going into the contest. That did not make things any easier for the False River Academy Gators and Head Coach Ray Aucoin. FRA came into the game without a win on the season and did not get one on this night as the Trojans rolled to a 34-0 victory.
The Trojans scored early and quickly as they really never allowed the Gators into the game. Sacred Heart’s speed was overwhelming to say the least for the squad from Point Coupee Parish that has yet to win a game.
Wesley Fontenot thew for 45 yards in the air and Dylan Scully had a 96-yard touchdown run. Jacob Barnes had a big night, running for 118 yards from scrimmage.
The Trojans hit the road for the remainder of the year. They will head to Catholic of Point Coupee next week to meet the Hornets (3-4, 0-2). The Hornets have lost their last three games beginning with a non-district loss to Opelousas Catholic. Their two league losses came to St. Ed’s and most recently to Point Coupee Central. The Cougars took a 56-14 win over the Hornets Friday night and St. Ed’s beat Catholic 63-34 last week.
