The Trojans hope to get speedster Ellis Parrott back and going this week.

Winless Gators seek center stage at SHHS Homecoming

Thus far, the Trojans have made the most of the opportunities as they have rattled off three straight wins against teams they are expected to beat. That is what good teams do. The Trojans have become better and better each week on both sides of the ball, especially on defense, which has always been the Trojans’ main issue.
This week, the Gators of False River come to town. False River has yet to win a game in the 2013 season and indications point to the fact that it will be hard for them to win tomorrow night.
The Gators have scored less than 35 points this season and have not scored a touchdown in the last two weeks. In fact, the closest the Gators have come to winning a game was a 14-34 decision to Houma Christian. Defensively, the Gators have struggled to keep any team from scoring five or more times. Ascension Catholic scored 55 points in week  four and Pointe Coupee Central put up 46 points last week.
Sacred Heart will be excited to get the Gators and get things sharpened up as District 5-1A begins to heat up, Things will surely heat up next week when the Trojans have to get on the road and face Catholic of Pointe Coupee, Pointe Coupee Central and then St. Ed’s. That trio of contests should serve as big momentum in this game.
Sacred Heart is hoping to get Ellis Parrott back on the field this week. He was rested to heal up last week, but is expected to be ready to go. Quarterback Wesley Fontenot has really come along well and SHHS fans can expect him to have another big week. He threw for over 140 yards against North Central and should be big again this week.
Festivities will begin with the homecoming parade. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
