Both Pine Prairie and Ville Platte had their issues in their last few weeks. Ville Platte went to Port Barre with a handful of key starters out and fell a score short to the Red Devils. Pine Prairie hosted a very talented, up-and-coming Church Point team and also came up short in the end.
Mamou went to DeQuincy and faced a very tough team that handed Mamou their fourth straight loss. Mamou has not won since week two, when they crushed South Cameron. The Green Demons look to change that tomorrow night against the ninth-ranked Welsh Greyhounds.
After putting up 58 points in week six’s District 4-1A contest last week, Basile will come home and host the Grand Lake Hornets (1-5). The fourth ranked Bearcats are a heavy favorite in this one and they should be able to pull this one.
