Cross-town tilt

VILLE PLATTE -- With both teams losing games to the rains of Wednesday night, the Sacred Heart Trojans and the Ville Platte Bulldogs decided to get together for a little friendly diamond tilt at Aswell-Cappell field Thursday afternoon.

Pine Prairie wins again; Sacred Heart stumbles on the road

The wins keep on coming for the Pine Prairie Lady Panthers softball team, as they cruised past the Port Barre Lady Red Devils 7-2 in a District 5-3A win on the road Tuesday afternoon.
With the win Pine Prairie is now 19-6 on the year and a perfect 8-0 in district play.

Sacred Heart garners huge non-district road win over Rayne

RAYNE – A seven run seventh inning was the major difference for the Sacred Heart Lady Trojans softball team, as they pulled away from the Rayne Lady Wolves in a 14-6 non-district win here Monday afternoon.

PINE PRAIRIE – Despite a valiant effort at a comeback, the Pine Prairie Panthers baseball team fell to the Port Barre Red Devils 11-7 at home Tuesday afternoon in a District 5-3A contest.
