Mamou defeats No. 1 seed Rapides to earn berth in 2A semifinals

LECOMPTE – The eighth seeded Mamou Lady Demons wrangled the top ranked Rapides Lady Mustangs to a 68-55 win Thursday night in Lecompte in the quarterfinal round to advance to the Top 28.

VILLE PLATTE – Slows starts have plagued the Ville Platte High Bulldog basketball team all season long and Friday night was no exception, as they defeated the Vidalia Vikings 79-58 here in a first round Class 3A playoff contest.
