Hunter Still Missing

Butte La Rose — Authorities as well as friends and family of Keith Gilcrease, the hunter who disappeared Christmas morning, are on the lookout for any sign of the 16-foot aluminum crawfish skiff Gilcrease had used to go hunting down by Cow Island.

The boat has a new 75 horsepower four-stroke Yamaha with tiller steering, a detachable windshield, and Louisiana registration numbers LA-8061-FE on the bows.

The boat is a deep-sided, flat-bottomed craft with a sharp prow, a crawfish skiff and not a jonboat, says Gilcrease’s wife, Melody.
