Mr. and Mrs. Chad Justin Norman

Mr. Norman, Miss Bertrand united in holy matrimony

First Baptist Church in Oakdale provided the setting for a lovely 4 p.m. cermony on Saturday, June 27, 2015, uniting Miss Laura Beth Bertrand and Mr. Chad Justin Norman in holy matrimony, with Rev. Christopher Holmes officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Ted and Pam Bertrand of L’anse Gris. The groom is the son of Kevin and Rebecca Norman of Boyce and Tonya Yelverton of Hineston.
The church was beautifully decorated with sunflowers, light gold tulle and greenery.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was radiant in her soft white, strapless, lace sheath gown accented with an empire waistline. She wore a one-tiered, elbow-length veil accented with pearl and beaded edging and a pearl necklace, bracelet and earring set to complete her attire.
The bride carried a bouquet of yellow sunflowers and white roses.
Jessie West of Pine Prairie served as matron of honor for the special occasion and Abbie Ortego served as maid of honor. The each wore a marine navy-colored, one-shoulder, short gown of lace mesh and carried a bouquet of sunflowers.
Bridesmaids were Kaylee Hurwitz of Jacksonville, Florida, Heather Bertrand of Opelousas, Alex Joubert and Alexie Soileau, both of Monroe, Lacy Fairchild of Baton Rouge and Carlee Norman, Franki Jo Tackett, Maggie Bridges, Katie Firmin and Tara Winegeart, all of Alexandria. They were attired identically to the matron and maid of honor.
Coby Norman of Alexandria served as best man for the evening ceremony.
Groomsmen were Lance Bertrand of Opelousas, Cory Pender and Trey Pender, both of Lake Charles, and Caleb Huff, Dalton Adger, Levi Martinez, Sonny MocKosher, Waylon MocKosher, Ryan Stutts, Bryar Barton and Trent Myers, all of Alexandria.
Kalli Pender of Lake Charles served as flower girl, and Bryce Pender of Lake Charles and Tristan Ray of Alexandria served as ring bearers.
Sign carriers were Levi Bertrand and Carter Bertrand, both of Opelousas.
Ushers were Kyle Newsom of Alexandria and Steven Deville of Ville Platte.
A reception followed at the Mowad Center in Oakdale.
Following a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple has made their home in Alexandria.
