Robeline’s Kay named 2017 Tournoi Pageant Queen

New royalty was crowned Saturday, at the Louisiana Tournoi Pageant. The newly crowned queens were Miss Samara Lafleur, Miss Charlie Bieber, and Miss Holly Kay.
Samara Lafleur is the 13-year-old daughter of Jade and Kasie Lafleur. Samara is a student at Bayou Chicot. After finishing with school, she would like to go on to become a pediatric surgeon.
She is in the beta club and also a member of “The Stump,” the school newspaper. She helps assist with the Pine Prairie Paw Prints Community Cheerleading Squad. She is an Honor Roll Student at Bayou Chicot Elem. She even enjoys traveling to new places and meeting many new people.
Her hobbies are swimming, dancing, anything arts and crafts, and spending time with friends and family.
Madison Courville, daughter of Jessica, and Heath Aucoin, and Nick and Nicole Courville, was the First runner-up in the Junior Queen Division.
Charlie Bieber is the 14-year-old daughter of Charles II and Michelle Bieber. She is a freshman at Mamou High School. After high school, she plans to earn her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at LSU then enlist in the U.S. Airforce as an officer. She is in the FFA, 4-H, pep squad, and an Annunciation Catholic Church member.
She loves to be a 4-H Jr. Leader, helping with 4-H fund raisers, setting up shooting machines, and being score keeper for shooting competitions. Charlie is an honor roll student, regional shooting and archery competitor. Her hobbies include competitive trap and skeet shooting, archery, raising and showing Black Angus cattle, hunting and fishing, and spending time with her dad, brothers and sister on the farm.
Holly Kay is the 18-year-old daughter of Robin and Keith Kay. She is a full-time Freshman at McNeese State University. She is majoring in Agricultural Education. She is in the Collegiate FFA, SGA, Student life Coalition, and soon to be Peer Leader. She loves to participate in the community Halloween carnival and other community growth programs, Church restoration fund raisers, and Hope For Paws fund raisers.
Holly’s future plans include graduating from McNeese State University and pursuing a career in teaching agriculture in high school then eventually returning to school to get her Masters and continue teaching Agriculture at the high school or college level.
Holly’s hobbies include discovering hole-in-the-wall resturants, traveling to new places, cooking recipes she finds on Pinterest, studying her Bible and sharing what she finds, spending time with her family and friends, and teaching students and adults about the importance of Agriculture and American farms, reading, watching Netflix Original movies, learning random facts about interesting places, spending time outside, and spending time with her cat, Oscar.
Darrelyn Lachney, daughter of Larry and Sherron Lachney, was the First runner-up and Lynzi Trosclair, daughter of Shelly Fontenot Trosclair was the second runner-up for the Queen Division.
