New city prosecutor appointed

CROWLEY – Jeffery Brunson was appointed City Prosecutor during a Special Meeting of the Crowley City Council.

Brunson currently serves as an Assistant District Attorney for the 15th Judicial District and also works with the Office of Community Services.

Brunson is a lifelong Crowley native having graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1974. He received his law degree from Southern University in 1985 after earning his undergraduate at LSU. After he graduated from law school he worked as a law clerk for the Honorable James T. Trimble, United States Magistrate.

Brunson married Susette Prejean, of Crowley, in 1981. They have two children Elise, 23, and Daniel, 20.

Brunson is the son of retired District Judge Hugh Brunson. He currently practices law in his father’s former office on Crowley’s court circle. His mother is Margaret Brunson.
