Hunters and anglers across Louisiana now have another option when it comes to obtaining their licenses.
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is now offering an electronic option for both hunting and fishing licenses. The option started being available on June 1.
Those interested outdoorsmen can simply access the digital option by visiting www.wlf.la.gov and select the E-license option when making the purchase. Sportsmen can store the license on their electronic devices (smart phones, tablets, laptop computers, etc.), or they can print the licenses from their home computers.
“We decided to offer this because so many more people are mobile friendly and computer friendly,” LDWF’s Michelle Rayburn said. “It’s a convenience for our fishermen and hunters. It’s just another way of taking advantage of getting their license.”
For those hunters and fishermen that still want the standard hard copy license on waterproof paper, that option is still available. Those still interested can still visit any license vendor or call toll-free 1-888-765-2602.
