The Louisiana Cattleman’s Association held their 85th annual convention on January 2-4, in Houma at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel.

Mamou High School seniors asking for help replacing stolen class trip fund

Earlier this week, Mamou High School seniors learned money being saved for their senior trip in May had been stolen. Class sponsor Rachel Israel said she came home and found her house had been broken into through the air conditioning unit from a window and the money was taken.

State police investigating death following domestic altercation

The Louisiana State Police has taken over the investigation into the death of a Ville Platte man who died after Ville Platte police were called to a report of a domestic altercation early shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, on Oak Street.
