Bobby Savoy

MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Bobby Savoy, 89, of Mamou, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou at 2 p.m., Sunday, February 2. Burial followed in the Old St. Ann’s Cemetery.
Ms. Savoy died Friday, January 31, 2014, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou surrounded by her children. She was a patient representative and nutritional consultant for Savoy Medical Center. Her favorite sport in college was archery.
Survivors include three sons, Peter Savoy and his wife, Cathy, and Jason Savoy, all of Mamou, and David Savoy and his wife, Rhonda, of Crosby, Texas; two daughters, Cherry Savoy of Youngsville and Sunny Savoy and her husband, Ernesto, of Monterey, Mexico; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Frank P. Savoy Jr.; her parents, Otis H. and Lyda Rawls; four sisters, Anna Margaret Naquin, Audrey Love, Weetsie Guillory and Annette Theriot; and one brother, Sonny Rawls.
Father Albert Nunez officiated.
