Dorothy Joseph

OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held for Dorothy Joseph, 56, of Lafayette, at St. John Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 18.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Ms. Joseph died Thursday, August 13, 2015, at her residence. She was a native of Ville Platte and a member of Refuge Temple Church of Ville Platte.
Survivors include one daughter, Crystal L. Joseph of Lafayette; six brothers, Albert Joseph Jr. (Brenda) and Herman Joseph (Pauline), both of Beaumont, Texas, Paul D. Joseph of Iota, Jerry Joseph (Felicia) and Ceaser Joseph, both of Ville Platte, and Kerry Joseph (Veronica) of Pearland, Texas; five sisters, Gloria Cassimere (Daniel), Joyce Latigue (Mark) and Lula Joseph, all of Ville Platte, Alberta Elam of Covington, Georgia, and Ethel Autrey of Shreveport; two grandchildren, R. DeVaughn Joseph and McKenzie St. Julien; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Joseph Sr. and Elverta Arvie Joseph; one brother, Robert Joseph; and one sister, Diane Joseph.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at St. John Baptist Church.
Rev. Willis Jones will officiate.
