VILLE PLATTE- Funeral Services were held at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial for Eloise Meche, 89, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church on Tuesday, June, 20, 2017 who passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home of Ville Platte surrounded by her loved ones.
Father Taj Glodd, Associate Pastor at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church celebrated the mass and conducted the funeral services.
Entombment took place in St. Peter’s Catholic Church Mausoleum in Grand Prairie.
Her memories will live on through her family. She is survived by her sons, James Brent Meche and Diane of, Dallas, TX and Perry Joseph Meche and wife, Bonnie of Ville Platte; step-daughter, Paula Johnson and husband, Kenneth of Ville Platte; step-son, Billy Lafleur and wife, Vickie of Houston, TX; brother, Burtman Ortego of Franklin; grandchildren, Brandon Meche, Spencer Meche, Ashley Meche Matte, Sarah Meche Lafleur and Abby Meche Frederick; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Eloise is preceded in death by her first husband, Chester Joseph Meche; second husband, Elvin Lafleur, her parents, Ewell and Hazel Roberie Ortego, and her sister-in-law, Jeanette Ortego.
The family requested that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM. A rosary was recited at 6:00 PM on Monday, June 19, 2017. Visitation resumed Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
