Funeral services were held for Eric Philip Landreneau Jr., 39, of Ville Platte, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 18. Burial followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
A devoted son, brother, nephew and cousin, Mr. Landreneau died Friday, December 13, 2013, at his residence. He was a gentle soul with a compassionate heart. He had a larger than life laugh and his sense of humor was a delight to all. His caring ways led him down a career path that was ideal for him; he worked as a registered nurse with the L.H.C. Group.
Survivors include his loving parents, Eric and Paula Foxworth Landreneau Sr. of Ville Platte. He will be deeply mourned by his only sibling, Elizabeth Alice Landreneau Vallot and her husband, Andrew, of Kentwood. His memory will be carried on and cherished by his aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph Otis and Clamie Fusilier Landreneau; and his maternal grandparents, Ira Charles Foxworth Sr. and Cecile Reed Foxworth.
At the request of the Landreneau family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte, beginning at 12 noon, today, December 17, until 9 p.m. this evening; and will resume at 7 a.m., Wednesday, December 18, until the time of the services. A Rosary will be recited in his honor this evening, December 17, at 6:30 p.m.
Father Mitchell Guidry officiated.
