Ethel P. Soileau

MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Ethel P. Soileau, 79, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 1:30 p.m., Monday, May 18. Burial followed in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
A loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Ms. Soileau died Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie.
Survivors include four daughters, Tina Soileau Fontenot and her husband, Drake, of Mamou, Faith Soileau Fontenot and her husband, Richard, of Ville Platte and Myra Soileau Fontenot and her husband, Michael, and Lori Soileau Marcantel and her husband, Derek, all of Grand Prairie; one brother, Jimmy Prudhomme of Ville Platte; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Patsy Manuel Veillon and her husband, David, and Linda Manuel Berzas and her husband, Norman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Soileau; her parents, Andre and Edmonia Castille Prudhomme; two brothers, Herman Prudhomme and Hubert Prudhomme; and two sisters, Ella Mae Manuel and Pearl Qualls.
Father Brian Harrington officiated.
