Ethelie F. Gahn

MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Ethelie F. Gahn, 84, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 18. Burial followed in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
Ms. Gahn died Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at her residence. She and her husband, Thomas Gahn Sr., were proud business owners of Gahn Motor Service for more than 50 years.
Survivors include three children, Jonathan Gahn and his wife, Elizabeth, of Patterson and Thomas Gahn Jr. and his wife, Michelle, and Paula Renee Walden and her husband, James, all of Mamou; one brother, Frank Fontenot of Baton Rouge; 11 grandchildren, Caroline, Gabrielle, Conner, Troy and Corey Gahn, Jamie Lafleur, Jack Lafleur, Sarah Disatell, Taylor Walden, Alana McClaskey and Jason Walden; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gahn Sr.; her parents, Zeal Fontenot and Mable Fontenot Chapman; three children, Thomas and Theresa Gahn and Becky G. LaFleur; three brothers, Ron, Dr. James and Richard Fontenot; and one grandchild, Chad Walden.
Father Mark Melancon officiated.
