VILLE PLATTE -- Funeral services for Howard W. Pitre, 90, were be held at 11AM Wednesday May 3, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial followed in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Father Tom Voorhies officated.
Mr. Pitre a retired farmer, cattleman, and resident of Ville Platte passed away Monday May 1, 2017 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home.
He will be missed by his loving wife Lou Ellen Roberie Pitre of Ville Platte; devoted caretakers/nieces Liz Lafleur, Wanda Simoneaux; sisters-in-law Geneva Roberie Brignac and husband Louis, Runie Roberie Thibodeaux; host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Willie and Ada Manuel Pitre, sister Emmarella Pitre Hebert.
Visitation was held Tuesday May 2, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m., and resumed again Wednesday May 3, 2017 from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
