John Clyde “Soupee” Courville Sr.

MAMOU - Funeral services will be held for John Clyde “Soupee” Courville Sr., 75, of Mamou, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 13.
Mr. Courville, better known as “Soupee” by those who knew and loved him, died Friday, November 8, 2013, at Savoy Care Center in Mamou.
Survivors include his loving children, John Clyde “Pete” Courville Jr. of Reddell, Shannon Marie Courville and her husband, Anthony Rougeau, of Mamou, Audrey LeDoux and her husband, Larry, of St. Landry and Juanita Castille of Lawtell; four sisters, Agnes Ashford of Basile, Ruth Rawls of Baton Rouge, Elaine Guillory of Eunice and Joann Sittig of Bradenton, Florida; 10 grandchildren, Brandon, Chase, Logan, Toni, Bryant, Joshua, Erica, Anthony, Sarah and Calvin; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wives, Genora Young Courville and Cookie Courville; his parents, Eve and Bell Courville; and one sister, Norma Jean Koshaua.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Wednesday, November 13, from 8 a.m. until time of service. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Father Mark Melancon will officiate.
