Joseph Dennis Thompson

A memorial mass was held for Joseph Dennis Thompson, 79, of Ville Platte, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 4.
Mr. Thompson died Monday, November 2, 2015.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Quirk Thompson of Ville Platte; four daughters, Deborah Sanders and her husband, Byron, of Glenmora, Patricia Soileau and her husband, Mitchell, of Ville Platte and Paula Blanchard and her husband, Kenny, and Elizabeth Scallan, all of Baton Rouge; three step-daughters, Angie Fruge of Eunice, Karen Soileau and her husband, Dr. Kirk Soileau, of Ville Platte and Suzy LaHaye and her husband, Kenneth, of Vidrine; two step-sons, Timothy Walker and Kevin Walker and his wife, Jolay, all of Ville Platte; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Voorhies Thompson and Lenia Shuff Thompson; and one grandson, Daniel Lanclos.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or charity of choice.
