Joseph Rollins Saucier

Funeral services were held for Joseph Rollins Saucier, 79, of Ville Platte, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 2 p.m., Monday, September 7. Burial followed in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Saucier died Friday, September 4, 2015, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. He loved the outdoors and was a member of the Cajun Wing Campers since 1980.
Survivors include his greatest love, his wife of 60 years, Frenella Fontenot Saucier of Ville Platte; four sons, James Curt Saucier and his wife, Lisa, Kent Saucier and his wife, Tina, and Keith Saucier and his companion, Lisa Crane, all of Ville Platte, and Kevin Saucier and his wife, Rose, of Wise, Virginia; and three daughters, Phyllis Saucier LeBlanc and her companion, Calvin Adams, of Ville Platte, Phoebe Deshotel and her husband, Kaylor, of Pine Prairie and Pamela Schmidt and her husband, Keith, of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his three brothers, John H. Saucier and his wife, Margaret, of Chatagnier and James Saucier and Ronald Saucier, both of Ville Platte; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Avie and Armance Lafleur Saucier; and one grandson, Jamie Lee Deshotel.
Father Tom Voorhies officiated.
