Leonard Joseph “Red” Ardoin Sr.

Funeral services were held for Leonard Joseph “Red” Ardoin Sr., 87, of Ville Platte, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Friday, April 8. Burial followed in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Mr. Ardoin died Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ville Platte. He was a truck driver and the owner and operator of Ardoin’s Fish Market of Ville Platte. He also owned race horses.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Ray Ardoin and his wife, Viola, and David James Ardoin and his wife, Livi, all of Mamou, and Leonard Ardoin Jr. and his wife, Brenda, of Ville Platte; one daughter, Sandra Ardoin LeDoux and her husband, Chris, of Coushatta; one brother, Floyd Ardoin of Ville Platte; one sister, Lois Toole of Houston, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Alfred and Lena Ardoin; and one son, Joseph Michael Ardoin.
Father Tom Voorhies officiated.
