Louis “Abe” H. Lafleur

Funeral services were held for Louis “Abe” H. Lafleur, 79, of Ville Platte, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 7. Burial followed in the Old Ville Platte Cemetery.
Mr. Lafleur died Monday, January 6, 2014, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. He served his country with great courage and pride as a soldier in the United States Army.
Survivors include one sister, Bonnie Del Vecchio of Strafford, Connecticut; and his loving nieces and nephews, Cindy DiSorbo of Connecticut, Sylvia Fontenot of Pine Prairie, Kathleen Dupre of Opelousas, Charles Lafleur of Ville Platte, Michael Del Vecchio of New Jersey and Vernal Lafleur of Grand Prairie.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Una Lafleur; his parents, Hazy and Eunice Ardoin Lafleur; three brothers, Leroy Lafleur, Bernard Lafleur and Conrad Lafleur; and one nephew, James Lafleur.
Deacon Eugene LeBouef officiated.
