Robert “Ringo” Winston Fontenot

Funeral services will be held for Robert “Ringo” Winston Fontenot, 76, of Ville Platte, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 30. Burial will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Mr. Fontenot died Wednesday, July 29, 2015.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Bertie Fontenot of Ville Platte; three sons, Tim Fontenot and his wife, Wendy, Derek Fontenot and his wife, Robin, and Benji Fontenot, all of Ville Platte; and one daughter, Kelly Fontenot of Ville Platte. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his seven grandchildren, Christopher Rider, Ryan Fontenot, Kristen LaFleur, Chet Bourgeois, Taylor Fontenot, Alexis Fontenot and Cameron Fontenot; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mayast and Elizabeth Fontenot; and two brothers, Glenn Fontenot and Bert Fontenot.
Deacon Gene LeBouef will officiate.
