Ruby T. Johnson

Funeral services were held for Ruby T. Johnson, 100, of Ville Platte, at the Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte at 2 p.m., Monday, July 20. Burial followed in the Johnson Cemetery in Bayou Chicot.
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Ms. Johnson died Saturday, July 18, 2015, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ville Platte.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jackie) Jones and Donna Sue Fontenot and her husband, Jasper, all of Ville Platte. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her five grandchildren, Prentice ‘’Buddy’’ Downs, Cynthia Downs Cober and her husband, Steve, Fr. Greg Downs, Jaime Jasper Fontenot and his wife, Elizabeth, and Jody Paul Fontenot and his wife, Nicole; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eluid Johnson; her parents, Willis and Odette Thibodeaux; one daughter, Claudia Johnson Downs; and an infant son.
Father Greg Downs officiated.
