PINE PRAIRIE - Funeral services for Saundra Lamke were held Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Pine Prairie First Baptist Church, with Reverends Barry Gautreaux and Keith Sheridan officiating. Interment followed in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Lamke, 72, of Pine Prairie, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Major and Stella Carr; one grandson, Joshua Johnston and two brothers, Amos Carr and Jerry Carr.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her two sons, James Lamke, Jr., of Edgewater, Florida. and Kent Lamke, of Pine Prairie; three daughters, Hattie Johnston and husband, Jerome, of Pine Prairie, Ginean Pitre, of Pine Prairie and Rachel Carroll and husband, Jamie, of Pine Prairie; one brother, Harold Carr and wife, Miyoko, of Olympia, Washington; two sisters, Joyce Soileau, of Ville Platte and Karen LaCaze and husband, J.E., of Pitkin; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
