Yvonne Comeaux Vidrine

Funeral services will be held for Yvonne Comeaux Vidrine, 83, of Ville Platte, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 16. Burial will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Ms. Vidrine died Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. Precious memories of Yvonne will forever remain in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings and dear friends. She was a kind and caring soul and her main purpose in this life was seeing to the care of her family. She provided for their well being as owner and operator of Vidrine’s Market and Grocery. She will be both remembered and missed by all whom were lucky enough to have crossed paths with her on her journey here on earth.
Survivors include two beloved daughters, Jackie Bordelon and her husband, Brian, and Connie Vidrine, all of Ville Platte; five grandchildren, Stacy Foret and his wife, Amanda, Kenny LeJeune, Heather Bordelon, Travis Bordelon and Nicole Bordelon; and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Evan Foret. Also left behind to mourn are her two siblings, Ernest Comeaux and his wife, Kathy, of Lafayette and Mary Elkins of Scott.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arcile Vidrine; her parents, Jules and Aimee Doucet Comeaux; two brothers, Birchman and Julien Comeaux; and five sisters, Elia Ortego, Ella Mae Mire, Iva Mae Mire, Edelle Janice and Marie David.
Father Brad Guillory will officiate.
