One charged with carnal knowledge

PINE PRAIRIE - An 18-year-old has been charged with carnal knowledge and contributing to the delinquency of a minor for allegedly assisting a juvenile in leaving home recently.

Captain Keith Dupre, chief of detectives for the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, said Pine Prairie Detective Ronnie Clark began working this case after receiving a report of a missing juvenile.

Detective Clark learned the juvenile was in Eunice. He located the girl and returned her home. During his investigation, he learned Trulie Lorraine Jagneaux, 18, 1096 Acadian Drive, Ville Platte, had allegedly assisted the juvenile in leaving her parents home without their permission. On Thursday, April 17, Jagneaux was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

Then, Dupre said authorities learned a crime of carnal knowledge had been committed inside the parish but outside Pine Prairie. This investigation led to more charges being filed against Jagneaux Friday, April 18, when she was booked on charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Her bond was set at $5,000.
