Prather, Chustz united in holy matrimony

Jenna Renae Chustz became the bride of Garrett Reed Prather, both of Baton Rouge, during a 4 p. m. double ring ceremony held on December 15, 2007. The candlelight affair was held in the LSU campus chapel. Dr. Kevin Mckee officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mike and Levie Chustz of Baton Rouge. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lytle Chustz of Addis, La. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert MaGee of Baton Rouge.

Jenna is a graduate of LSU and Our Lady of the Lake Nursing School. She is currently employed with the Baton Rouge General Hospital as a registered nurse.

The groom is the son of Billy and Allie Prather of Crowley. He is the grandson of Mrs. Ruby Reed and the late Mr. Burwin Reed of Crowley and Mrs. Mae Prather and the late Mr. Bill Prather of Branch.

Garrett is a graduate of LSU with a master’s degree. He is currently working at Lipsey’s as a sales associate.

Escorted by her father, the bride was exquisite in designer gown by Pronovias. Her dress featured a strapless heart shaped laced gown, complimented with a cathedral length veil with attached blusher, both were adorned with pearls and crystals. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies accented with cherry blossoms roses, entwined with cedar garland.

Maid of honor was Lauren Amanda Haynes, friend of bride. Matron of honor was Morgan Chustz Tomlinson, sister of bride. Serving as bridal attendants were Alisha Prather, sister of groom; Renee Prather, sister-in-law of groom; Dorothy Elizabeth Hammett, Elise Dean Long, Laura Leigh Singletary and Dominique Wurzlow, all friends of the bride. Bridal attendants wore tea length, red strapless Duponi silk dresses. They carried red cherry blossom roses wrapped in cedar garland garnished with cypress filler.

The best man was William Nathaniel Prather, III, brother of groom. Serving as groomsmen were Michael Chustz, brother of bride; Jeff Tomlinson, brother-in-law of bride; Brandon Adylett, Jason Horrell, John Humpheries, Andrew Lananhan and Jeff Riemann, all friends of groom.

Following the wedding ceremony, a reception was held at the West Baton Rouge Convention Center.

After returning from a honeymoon to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Baton Rouge.

A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was held on December 14, 2007 at 7 p. m. at the University Club.
