CROWLEY – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church for Rose Simon Bias, 76, who died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 3:35 a.m. at American Legion Hospital.

Fr. Emmanuel E. Etim, M. S. P., Pastor of St. Theresa Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours from 8 a.m. to service time at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Burial will be in South Crowley Cemetery.

Mrs. Bias was born on April 28, 1932 in Breaux Bridge, LA to the late Morris and Lizzie Thibodeaux Simon. Rose Mae was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church at a very young age.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, John C. “Sonnie” Bias of Crowley; two daughters, Rose Bias and Jeanette Bias both of Crowley; four sons, Anthony Bias and John Bias, II both of Crowley, Joseph Bias of Houston, TX and Percy Bias of Lithonia, GA; one sister, Beulah George of Crowley; one brother, Clifton Simon of Dallas, TX; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Rufus Bias; her parents, Morris and Lizzie Thibodeaux Simon; two sisters, Mary Clement and Enola Martin and one brother, Wilfred Simon.

Pallbearers will be Whitney Clement, Michal George, J. D. Robinson, Murrell Normand, Wayne Dejean and Chester Francis.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Bias, II, Anthony Bias, Clifton Simon, Joseph Bias, John Bias, III and Percy Bias.
