Sibley puts on successful play
Actresses put their souls into their characters in a play written and directed by Grace Vidrine Sibley. The play, Sneaky Snakes Slithering in the Sanctuary, was presented at Ninth Baptist Church, pastored by Rev. Darwan Lazard April 11. The actresses are, left to right, Christy Anderson, playing Cher Deaux (pronounced “Sha-dow), Hurtful Hannah’s negative conscience; Cynthia Wilson, playing Poisonous, Provocative Peninnah; Justina Lazard, playing Hurtful Hannah; and Shannon Ardoin, playing Grandmother Nina (Peninnah‘s mom). Not shown are Jarvis Ardoin, who played Elkannah, the husband with two wives; Marshall Johnsonm musician; and Sherral Tezeno, soloist.
