Ragin’ Sales Team claims 9th place at national event

The Moody College of Business Ragin’ Sales Team student team celebrated top honors as it placed ninth out of 36 colleges and universities in the Russ Berrie Institute National Sales Challenge, held Nov. 18-20, 2015.
The team consisted of Courtney Sanders, a marketing senior from New Iberia, La., and Casey Dugas, a marketing junior from Lafayette, La. They are sponsored by Service Chevrolet Cadillac and led by sales instructor Reece Theriot. Both students advanced to the semi-finals, and Sanders placed seventh in the speed-selling competition.
The 9th annual sales challenge, held at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ, featured competing teams from colleges and universities across the United States and Scotland. Executives from 16 corporations judged skills of more than 100 students in the sales role-play and speed-selling competitions.
