Mr. and Mrs. Michael Seth Dupre’

Mr. Dupre’, Miss Lafleur united in holy matrimony

Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte provided the setting for a lovely 6:30 p.m. ceremony on Friday, July 31, 2015, uniting Miss Olivia Brooke Lafleur and Mr. Michael Seth Dupre’ in holy matrimony, with Father Jason Vidrine officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Patrick and Carla Daigle and Charles Dirk Lafleur of Ville Platte. The groom is the son of Michael Scott and Amy Dupre’ of Ville Platte.
The church was beautifully decorated with arrangements of gypsophila.
Given in marriage by her father and step-father, the bride was radiant in her ivory-colored, slimline, lace-govered gown featuring cap-sleeves and a key-hole back. The heavily beaded gown was accented with a sash and chapel-length veil attached with a vintage hair piece.
The bride carried a bouquet of succulents accented with peach-colored roses.
Brittani Daigle of Church Point served as matron of honor for the special occasion, and Chelsie Dupre’ of Ville Platte served as maid of honor. They each wore a formal-length gown of aqua-colored chiffon featuring an empire waistline and carried a bouquet of gypsophila.
Bridesmaids were Joanie Dupre’, Abby N. Fontenot, Macy Morein, Alexis Savant, Jennifer Johnson, Elizabeth Fontenot and Monique Buller, all of Ville Platte. Ava Daigle served as junior bridesmaid. They were attired identically to the maid and matron of honor.
Luke Soileau of Ville Platte served as best man for the evening ceremony.
Groomsmen were Christopher Jordan “CJ” Dupre’, Brett Fontenot, Blake Delahoussaye, Adam Cedillo and Cain Thevenot, all of Ville Platte, Josh Jagneaux of Lake Charles, Ben St. Cyr of Opelousas and Dylan Buller of Washington.
Ushers were Devin Nelams and Devan Ortego.
Haylee Dupre’ served as flower girl, and Isaac Daigle served as ring bearer.
For her daughter’s special day, the bride’s mother selected a black, sleeved, floor-length gown accented with a beaded neckline. Her attire was accented with silver jewelry and accessories, as well as an orchid corsage accented with iridescent and raffia ribbon.
The groom’s mother selected a champagne-colored, sleeveless gown of lace and chiffon featuring a scoop neckline, ruched bodice and mock wrap skirt accented with hand beaded motif. Her attire was accented with pearl jewelry, as well as an orchid corsage accented with iridescent and raffia ribbon.
A reception followed at the Northside Civic Center. The hall was beautifully decorated with old antique items and ivory-colored linens. Guest tables were accented with burlap table runners and centerpieces of mason jars with candles. The stage was covered with a stephanie drape, four-point ceiling swag and burlap accents. A candy table was featured, as well as a “drums-”themed groom’s table.
Following a wedding trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, the couple has made their home in Belaire Cove.
