Mr. Fontenot, Miss Deshotel plan October nuptials

The engagement of Miss Haley Claire Deshotel to Mr. Thomas Paul Fontenot, the son of Carolyn and Kenneth Perrodin of Ville Platte and the late Joseph Steve Fontenot, has been announced by her parents, Robert and Gwen Deshotel of Ville Platte.
The couple will exchange wedding vows Friday, October 9, 2015, during a 6:30 p.m. ceremony at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte.
Miss Deshotel, whose mother is the former Gwen Cart of Iota, is the granddaughter of Aubrey and Maeise Deshotel of Ville Platte and the late Burley and Becky Cart.
A 2007 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Ville Platte, she received a degree in nursing from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches. She is currently employed as an ICU nurse with Opelousas General Health System.
Mr. Fontenot’s mother is the former Carolyn Manuel of Ville Platte, He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Almaker B. Fontenot, the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Manuel and Mrs. Laura Manuel.
A 2002 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Ville Platte, he received a degree in agricultural business from LSU in Baton Rouge. He is currently employed with Natural Advantage.
